Savarkar Posters Appear At Karnataka Congress Party Office Amid Row

This comes in the midst of a line over Congress pioneer Siddaramaiah’s comments on the continuous Savarkar banner column in Shivamoggathat prompted conflicts on Independence Day.

Vijaypura, Karnataka: Police on Monday morning eliminated banners of VD Savarkar set up the previous evening by obscure people at the Congress party office in Karnataka’s Vijayapura. Police have expanded security nearby.

The move comes in the midst of a column over Leader of the Opposition in the state gathering and senior Congress pioneer Siddaramaiah’s remarks on the continuous Savarkar banner line in Shivamogga that prompted conflicts on Independence Day.

In the mean time, a BJP functionary today conceded his contribution in the scheme of gluing Savarkar’s banners. He said, “We are the ones who glued Savarkar’s photograph. Savarkar’s photograph was singed under the authority of Congress pioneers in Hubli. Congress has more than once made debate over Savarkar. They have consumed it.”

It’s anything but no joking matter that we have glued a photograph. Congress has involved the Savarkar issue for publicity. Congress ought to regard Savarkar and read books about him, What message is Congress attempting to send by consuming Savarkar’s photograph?” he said.

Prior, the Congress in Udupi locale mentioned the police and the region organization to eliminate Savarkar’s banners stuck on the walls of its party office.
